DON QUIXOTE OF LA MANCHA

Saavendra, Miguel de Cervantes - Personal Name; Motteux, P.A. - Personal Name;

Miguel, the writer of this novel, was born in Alcala de Henares, a town near Madrid. He was baptized on October 9, 1547, and although the exact day of his birth is not known, it is believed that he was born on September 29, the day of San Miguel, whose name he bears. He died in Madrid on April 23,1616.rnHis unique skill in creating people of flesh and blood extends to the minor characters, whose variety is boundless. This profoundly human work, which splendidly captures the reality of early seventeenth-century Spain, is written in a beautiful, natural, and stately style. Its universal appeal has made it the world's most famous and most often published novel.
