Everyman's English Pronouncing Dictionary
This new and completely reset edition embodies the most comprehensive revision given to the Dictionary since its first publication in 1917 ang incorporates a new vowel notation. The Dictionary now contains over 59.000 words in international phoenetic transcription, together with many thousands of inflected forms. Professor Gimson has included a totallu new introduction in which the system of phonetic transcription used in the Dictionary is fully explained and the pronounciation given is now entirely that in common usage in the last quarter of the 20th century.
